Next Steps
The next big milestone for this project is planning and delivering the From Fleece to Fabric retreat, which is both a standalone event and a trial run for the wider vision of Stiwdio Pawb. This retreat will give me the chance to test interest, participation, and partnerships, while also exploring whether Bryntysilio might be interested in supporting similar creative projects in the long term.

In May, I’ll be meeting with Cathy and Veronika to start firming up the format of the retreat. We’ll look at everything from structure and content to pricing, branding, and logistics. This will also be the time to start putting together a plan for how we promote the retreat locally, through word of mouth, posters, and connecting with local organisations that support adult creativity and wellbeing. I’ll also speak to Lynne to confirm how much fleece she can provide, as this will impact the number of places available and help us cost everything out properly.

Once those details are in place, the aim is to launch sign-ups by early summer (around June or July), giving people enough time to register and us enough time to source any extra materials and prep the space. The retreat itself will likely run in late summer or early autumn, depending on availability at Bryntysilio and what works best for everyone involved. During the retreat, I’ll document the process through photos, interviews, and reflections, which will feed into my business proposal and help shape the future direction of Stiwdio Pawb.

While the retreat is a key focus, I’ll also be continuing to develop the branding and spatial design for Stiwdio Pawb as an ongoing strand of the project. I already have a deck of visual inspiration and initial ideas for how the space could look and feel, open, bright, colourful, full of plants and natural light. I want it to feel welcoming and creative, and I’ll keep developing these ideas with input from others in the community.

If the retreat goes well, the next step would be to work with Bryntysilio to explore whether the studio space could become a more regular offering, perhaps starting with seasonal events or short workshop series. At the same time, I’ll keep looking into possible funding routes or local partnerships that might help make a long-term version of the studio a reality.

Ultimately, this project is about more than just one retreat, it’s about testing a model for creative community engagement that I hope can grow into something more permanent and self-sustaining. These next few months are all about laying the groundwork, building trust and momentum, and listening carefully to what people want and need from a space like this.
