We had a reading group session this week similar to what we did in the first semester, we went round in a group and discussed the texts we read, hearing off each person in the class and then John gave his input too. I would like to say I found this useful but to be honest, I'm still unsure as to what transdisciplinary practice means, even after a quick google search. I think this is something that will be talked about continuously throughout the project and I'm not going to let myself get bogged down about it. I'm going to focus on my project itself and hope that when it comes to writing the piece regarding the practices, I will understand.

After this class I went up to the sewing room as I wanted to make a birthday gift of a t-shirt. I made my pattern and then got to cutting out my fabric which of course, I didn't order enough of. Luckily my problem solving brain kicked in and I managed to make it work. It's been so long since I've made something from start to finish so it felt really good to get back to it, starting with something that, in theory, is very easy. I booked into the print studio for Tuesday so I could add my vinyl print to the front and also so I could make some screen prints to carry on with my studio practice. I am yet to make a plan for studio practice/final major project prep and I really need to get on that because the weeks are going away with me and I want to make sure I'm in a good place when the module starts. The thing is, is that my project seems to be ever changing, which is a good thing, but I also don't want to just 'go with the flow' because it might end up that I have nothing. So, adding 'make plan for FMP' to my to do list again this week..

On Tuesday afternoon we had a catch up with Kayla, an intro to the archive project and a catch up with Mike from the library. I wasn't feeling great at all, I had nausea and back & neck pain on the drive to uni and I just felt rotten. So, after class I drove home, went to bed and slept until the following morning. I missed Welsh class which I'm gutted about but I really wasn't in any state to be doing anything.

The rest of then week I was away for a birthday treat, we went along the coast of North Wales, stayed in a lovely hotel on the beach and the next day went into Betws to do the Fforest Coaster. Whilst we were there I remembered we were pretty close to the Trefriw Wool Mill so we nipped in and I got to see everything I wanted to! I also saw that they sell the fabric by the meter, it is not cheap at all but hopefully I get the funding that I have applied for so I can purchase some in order to make my final garments!
