MAJOR PROJECT
project journey
This project began with a deep dive into Welsh identity, language, and heritage. Originally focused on a fashion collection inspired by traditional Welsh dress, craft and the impact of cultural erasure. The work gradually shifted toward something more community-rooted and sustainable.
A creative space for all

This led to Stiwdio Bach: a multidisciplinary, community-centered space supporting well-being, creativity, and connection through craft. Informed by research into social prescribing and Welsh making traditions, the final project culminated in a business proposal and funding application to bring this vision to life.

Though the stiwdio isn’t open yet, the foundations are in place and the dream of building a creative home in North Wales continues.
project strands
Throughout the year, four key strands have emerged within my Major Project: the research and development of Stiwdio Bach; the creation of a business proposal and funding application to bring it to life; and the early research and development work from Semester One, which laid the foundation for the project’s focus on Welsh identity, craft, and community.
